About the Role:
As a Music Teacher at the school, you will be responsible for planning, delivering, and assessing a music curriculum that accommodates the diverse needs and abilities of students. You will work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, including co-educators, therapists, and other professionals to deliver effective teaching and support pupils' personal development.
You will have the opportunity to develop the curriculum, working closely with subject and pathway leads, and assessing pupils’ progress through creative and inclusive strategies. This role is perfect for someone who is passionate about music education and its potential to unlock creativity and communication in students with complex needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement music lessons that cater to the needs of students with a range of SEN.
Foster emotional, physical, and social development through music.
Work with other professionals to deliver personalised and effective education to all students.
Participate in training, team meetings, and wider school community activities.
Support students with their social, emotional, and physical needs to ensure their well-being.
Experience required:
Who the School is Looking For:
The school is looking for a candidate who:
Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
Has experience teaching music to SEN pupils or is passionate about working in a SEN setting.
Has a 'can-do' attitude and is flexible, creative, and dedicated to continuous professional development.
Can demonstrate strong subject knowledge and the ability to adapt lessons to individual needs.
